Ans.

    • Are there any setup or hidden costs?

No, you only pay for what you use. 1 credit = 1 SMS

    • How long does it take to create an account and start sending messages?

The setup is instant and there is no approval procedure. It takes about 3 minutes to fill out our online form, complete the payment and start using SMSify.

    • Do you offer a free trial?

We do not offer a free trial as it occasionally leads to spam and attracts illegitimate users. A small fee of $2 will get you a package of 10 SMS, which you can use to evaluate SMSify.

    • What is your SMS coverage?

We deliver worldwide.

    • How quickly the messages get delivered?

SMSify delivers approximately one message per 2 seconds. Delivery speed also depends on the network carrier of the recipient and the number of messages present in the delivery queue.

    • My mobile numbers fail validation. What is the correct number format?

Your mobile numbers must be entered in international format, without spaces, brackets or dashes. For example, this is the correct format for an Australian number – 61xxxxxxxxx where 61 is the international code for Australia followed by 9 digits excluding the leading zero. The following formats are incorrect: +61xxxxxxxxx, 61 xxx xxx xxx, 61-xxx-xxx-xxx and so on.

    • What will be my sender ID (from number)?

Your sender ID will be set to one of our default gateway numbers. You may apply for a custom sender ID over the phone – see “Can I set my own sender ID (from number)”.

    • Can I set my own sender ID (from number)?

Yes.  You may apply for a custom sender ID, I.e. your own mobile number by calling our customer service line. We will need to verify your number by sending a verification code to your mobile number.  We also support alphanumeric sender IDs in countries that support them. Alphanumeric sender IDs may take a couple of days to be approved due to stricter regulations. Alphanumeric IDs are restricted to registered companies only.

    • What format do my contact numbers need to be in?

All your contact numbers should be in international format without the plus sign. Typically the number would contain a country code and a number without the leading zero if any. For example, country code for Australia is 61 and a full number would look something like 61 XXX XXXXXX where ‘X’s are mobile phone number digits.

    • Can I schedule my message delivery?

Yes. One of the great features of SMSify is the ability to schedule your SMS messages to arrive on a certain day and certain time in your local time zone!

    • Can I create my distribution lists or contact groups?

Yes. You can even add the same number to multiple contact groups. The advantage of creating contact groups is that you can compose your message only once and send it to all recipients in a contact group.

    • Can I send personalised messages?

Yes. Provided you have added/imported your contacts with first name and /or last name, you can compose your message once and send a personalized SMS to many contacts at once. The following wild cards are used to insert personalised information:
{first_name} – Inserts recipients first name
{last_name} – Inserts recipients last name
These are NOT case sensitive, so {First_Name} will work too.

    • What happens if my recipients reply to SMS sent via SMSify?

If you use one of our default sender IDs or an alphanumeric ID, message replies will go nowhere. On the other hand, if you set your own mobile sender ID, then replied messages will go to that number.

    • Do you support 2-way messaging?

On request only. If you have a specific 2-way messaging requirement, send us an email with your requirement details.  Our team will review your request and provide an appropriate solution for you. Additional charges may apply.

    • Do my SMS credits ever expire?

No. Once you purchase one of our SMS packages, they are yours for life.

    • Do I need to install any special software on my computer in order to use SMSify?

No. SMSify was designed to work in all modern web browsers and you only need Internet connection to use it anywhere in the world. Application also works well on tablet devices such as the iPad.

    • Who can use SMSify?

Anyone can use SMSify. There are no age or professional restrictions. It is suitable for anyone!

    • How many characters can I send in a single SMS?

Your text messages should be kept within a 160 character limit.

    • Does SMSify support STOP, BLOCK, and CANCEL (aka SMS Filtering)??

Yes. By default, SMSify will handle the following messages on long codes in accordance industry standards:

  • STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, and QUIT will stop customers from receiving messages from your SMSify number.
  • START and YES will opt customers back in to the messages coming from your SMSify phone number.
  • HELP will return a message informing the customer that they can use the above commands to control the delivery of messages.
